Terms And Conditions
1. Overview
These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings made with Khiimori Journeys, operated by Khiimori Global World LLC (Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia). By submitting an inquiry and confirming your booking, you agree to these terms in full.
2. The Tour
The Central Route is a private 12-day expedition through Central Mongolia. Maximum group size is 7 travelers. The tour operates seasonally: Early June, Late July, and September. Exact departure dates are confirmed at the time of booking.
3. What’s included
- All ground transport within Mongolia
- Private cook and all meals from Day 2 through Day 11
- All accommodation (hotels, ger camps, nomadic family stay, lodge, tent camp)
- Private calligraphy workshop with Tamir Purev
- All entrance fees and activity costs listed in the itinerary
- Telescope stargazing session at Ursa Major Lodge
- Horse riding at Khustai National Park (Day 3)
- Horse trekking, Days 9–10
- Chimita’s daily cultural storytelling and guiding
- Your original calligraphy piece to take home
- Airport pickup and drop-off in Ulaanbaatar
4. What’s not included
- International flights to and from Ulaanbaatar
- Travel insurance (required — see Section 9)
- Mongolian visa fees, if applicable
- Personal purchases and souvenirs
- Alcohol
- Gratuities for local guides and hosts
5. Booking & payment
Bookings are confirmed by Chimita Sharapova personally via email following your inquiry. No booking is confirmed until you receive written confirmation.
Khiimori Journeys reserves the right to decline any inquiry or cancel any confirmed booking at our sole discretion, without obligation to provide a reason. In the event of cancellation on our part outside of force majeure, a full refund will be issued.
Full payment is due no later than 35 days before the departure date. Payment details are provided in the confirmation email. Payment is accepted by bank card transfer or international SWIFT transfer to Khiimori Global World LLC.
6. Cancellation & changes policy
Cancellations by the client:

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@khiimoriworld.com. The cancellation date is the date we receive your written notice.
Booking transfers: Your booking may be transferred to another traveler only with prior written approval from Khiimori Journeys. Transfer requests must be submitted to info@khiimoriworld.com and are subject to confirmation by Chimita Sharapova. Transfers are not guaranteed.
Date changes: You may request to move your booking to a different available departure date provided the request is made at least 30 days before your original departure. Date changes are subject to availability and must be confirmed in writing by Chimita Sharapova. Rescheduling does not guarantee placement in your preferred date and does not entitle you to a refund if no suitable date is available.
Cancellations by Khiimori Journeys: In the event we cancel the tour for reasons within our control, you will receive a full refund. If the cancellation is due to force majeure (see Section 8), a credit toward a future departure will be offered where possible.
7. Participant conduct
Khiimori Journeys operates small private groups in remote environments where the safety and experience of all participants depend on mutual respect and cooperation. We expect all travelers to treat fellow participants, guides, hosts, and local communities with consideration.
Khiimori Journeys reserves the right to remove any participant from the tour at any time for conduct that endangers others, disrupts the group, or violates the norms of the communities we visit. This includes but is not limited to aggressive or abusive behavior, disregard for safety instructions, or actions that cause harm to people, animals, or the natural environment.
Removal under this section is at the sole discretion of the tour leader. No refund will be issued for any unused portion of the tour in such cases. Any additional costs arising from early departure — including transport and accommodation — are the sole responsibility of the removed participant.
8. Force majeure
Khiimori Journeys is not liable for cancellations, delays, or itinerary changes caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: extreme weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, political events, or disruptions to infrastructure in Mongolia. In such cases, we will make every effort to offer alternative arrangements or a future credit.
9. Travel insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory for all participants. Your policy must cover medical emergencies, evacuation, and trip cancellation. Khiimori Journeys reserves the right to request proof of insurance prior to departure. We accept no liability for costs arising from a lack of adequate insurance coverage.
10. Health & fitness
The Central Route involves moderate physical activity including hiking, horseback riding, and two nights of tent camping in remote terrain. By confirming your booking, you confirm that you are in good physical health and capable of participating. Please disclose any medical conditions or mobility limitations at the time of inquiry so we can advise appropriately.
11. Itinerary changes
The published itinerary reflects our planned route. Local conditions, weather, and logistical factors may require adjustments. Khiimori Journeys reserves the right to modify the itinerary while maintaining the overall character and quality of the experience.
12. Liability
Khiimori Journeys takes all reasonable measures to ensure your safety and comfort. However, travel in remote Mongolia involves inherent risks. We are not liable for personal injury, illness, loss of property, or other damages except where directly caused by our gross negligence.
13. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Mongolia. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
